Thunder Bay City councillors may have another shot at voting for a motion calling for northwestern Ontario Senator Lynn Beyak to resign because of her comments on Indigenous people.
The motion was defeated Monday in a a six-six vote.
City Clerk John Hannam says since the motion was defeated at the committee level, the results of that meeting still require a final vote.
He says the minutes that meeting will come up for a vote during a City Council meeting next month.
Hannam indicates, at that time, any member of council can ask for an item in the minutes to be separately considered, debated, and voted on.
He says in this case, it would come back at the October 16,
