A new tourist season is about to begin in northwestern Ontario.
Sunset Country Travel Association’s Gerry Cariou says right now all indicators are looking good.
With a lower Canadian dollar compared to the American greenback, Cariou expect to see an increase in American visitors.
He’s also predicting more Canadians to visit as the dollar forces many to consider a trip across the country instead of traveling south.
Cariou adds tourist camp bookings seem to be up over last year which was also a pretty good year for tourism in the region.
