The Elementary Teachers Federation is expressing concern with possible cuts to education.
President Sam Hammond made that known at a pre-budget hearing at Queen’s Park on Tuesday.
He says hints of a four per cent cut would equate to a billion dollars being taken out of the system.
“A cut this deep would severely impact the ability of school board’s to provide the inclusive, high quality, publically funded education that Ontarians expect,” says Hammond.
Hammond says investments, not cuts, are needed for the benefit students.
