NDP leader Andrea Horwath has laid out her party’s election platform.
It includes drug and dental coverage for everyone, free child care for those earning less than $40,000 a year, an average $12 a day for others, and cutting hydro bills by 30 per cent.
There’s also a pledge to build 65,000 new homes for low income earners and adding 40,000 long-term care beds, including 15,000 over the next five years.
The promises also include ending wait times at hospitals and reducing student debt.
The cost will be higher corporate taxes and closing tax loopholes along with a $3.3 billion deficit.
