Plenty of scoring for some teams as they opened their season in the Rainy River District Men's Fastball League last night.

The Dawson Tigers whipped Rainy River 39-1.

Stratton dumped the newly formed Sabaskong Goldeneyes 18-1.

Barwick defeated the Sabaskong Cubs 19-4.

Johnny Desaulniers smacked a home run in Sight and Sound's 14-3 win over Couchiching.

Wade Johnson went yard in a losing cause for the Raiders.

Windy's Warriors beat the Northwest Bay Chieftains 7-1.

While Manitou blew past the Northwest Bay Juniors 27-4.

Chandler Medicine with a homerun in that game.

 

Rainy River Voyageurs men's baseball team is into the second round of games at the Region 13B Championship in St. Cloud after upsetting top ranked Minnesota West 3-2 yesterday.

They now face Century College.

 

An incredible comeback for the International Falls Broncos baseball team in beating Greenway 12-10.

The Broncos trailed 10-1 heading into the final inning where they scored 11 runs for the win.

 

International Falls Broncos girls softball team lost for just the second time this season, dropping an 8-3 decision to Virginia.

Rainy River Owls girls soccer team fell short in their bid for a NorWOSSA title in the A  division, losing to Kenora's Thomas Aquinas Saints in yesterday's final played in Sioux Lookout.
