The first Indigenous Peoples’ Court in Northwestern Ontario will start sitting March 6th.
The court based out of Thunder Bay is being welcomed by various First Nation groups including the Thunder Bay Indian Friendship Center.
The courtroom will be based out of the consolidated courthouses’ Aboriginal Conference Settlement Suite.
It’s meant to help in the healing process for those residents who are in conflict with the law. (File photo)
