Koochiching County will be collecting a little more tax dollars next year.
The County’s Board of Commissioners approved the County’s budget this week that includes a 4.4 per cent increase in the tax levy.
The increase reflects changes in assessment as the actual tax rate is coming down 1.5 per cent.
The County’s budget also shows spending will be about $1.7 million more than what the county will take in.
The County is dipping into its reserve funds to cover the shortfall.
