Thunder Bay’s Police Chief is calling it a career, but he’s doing it on his terms.
J.P Leveque is retiring after 31 years on the force, the last seven as Police Chief.
His retirement comes in the wake of First Nations leaders calling for him to step down after a scathing reporting into how police investigated the death of Stacie Debungee, a Rainy River First Nation man who was found dead in 2015.
