Don’t expect it to be a mild winter in northwestern Ontario.
The Weather Network, in its winter forecast, is calling for normal amounts of snow but below normal temperatures.
Meteorologist Dayna Vettese says northwestern Ontario will be one of the cold spots in the country this winter.
“More of a classic winter right across Canada with a fairly stormy winter in store for many Canadians across the southern prairies, Ontario and right through to Atlantic Canada,” says Vettese. “We’re looking at a more active season with a good mix of rain and snow.”
Vettese adds there’s very little chance for melting until around March, so the snow is here to stay.
