There has been a changing of the guard for the OPP in northwestern Ontario.
Dave Lucas has been promoted as the new Chief Superintendant and Commander of the Northwest Region.
Lucas has gone from Detachment commander in Kenora, to Superintendant of Operations for the Northwest Region and now his current position, in less than two years.
Lucas says while he has duties across the region, Kenora will continue to remain his base of operations.
“Also splitting time between our headquarters in Thunder Bay, and spending time at our general headquarters in Orillia.”
Lucas takes over from Mark Pritchard, who has taken a position working with the Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. (File Photo)
