A partnership to help cats and dogs find new homes in southern Ontario is continuing.
North Star Air is giving the Ontario SPCA $30,000 so they can keep transporting animals from remote northern communities.
Five cats and 13 dogs and puppies were flown to Thunder Bay this week after a spay and neuter clinic in Big Trout Lake.
A spokesperson for the airline says remote Indigenous communities face challenges from lack of access to veterinarians and homes willing to adopt animals.
The animals are being taken in by the Peterborough Humane Society to find new homes.
