The president of the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario has wrapped up a tour of northwestern Ontario.
Carol Timmings was in Kenora on Friday and met the Seven Generations Education Institute about its plans to develop an RN training program.
Timmings says this is an area the Association is lobbying the province to do more.
"We talked about making sure the goverment provides consistant, stable funding for nursing education in the north. And nursing education that really is somewhat unique to the needs in the north."
Timmings says they are taking the information gathered from their tour and will present it to all three political parties at Queen's Park.
