Municipal leaders in northwestern Ontario are welcoming the suggestion a regionnal bus service be established for northern Ontario.
It’s one of the recommendations contained in the provincial government’s draft report on transportation for the region.
Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association president Wendy Landry says it backs up what groups like NOMA and Common Voice Northwest have been advocating for years.
The report recommends an increase in day time pick up and drop off times between communities in the Northwest.
The province is now gathering public comment on the document.
