International Falls city council is willing to let signs stay above a downtown business.
Some former councillors had voiced concerns with signs on the roof of Border Boxes, suggesting they detract from a mural.
The city was prepared to address the issue in a new licensing and lease agreement with new owner Tony Palm.
In addressing the new owner at council last night, councillor Harley Droba say he has no issue with the signs.
Palm says he’ll take them down if he has to unless they impact the integrity of the roof.
