The opposition at Queen’s Park is feeling ignored.
That according to NDP Leader Andrea Horwath, following a meeting Monday afternoon with the premier regarding changes to political fundraising in Ontario.
Horwath says her suggestion to strike up a non-partisan panel to lead the review – something PC Leader Patrick Brown is also in favour of – fell on deaf ears because of concerns it would lengthen the process.
Horwath says the Liberals are planning to draft and introduce legislation by May, and have it implemented by January.
She says the Liberals are in the driver’s seat and not acknowledging the fact that because they’re a majority government, any amendments brought forward by the other parties will ultimately lose the battle. (File photo)
