It is emergency preparedness week in the Rainy River district.
Fort Frances Fire Chief Frank Sheppard says it’s an opportunity to raise awareness about the need to be prepared in the event of an emergency.
That message will be promoted with a display at Canadian Tire this Saturday.
Sheppard says the situation in Fort McMurray is a good reminder of the need to be prepared in case of an emergency or evacuation.
