Kevin O’Leary has made it official. He is running for the federal Conservative leadership.
The former Dragon’s Den made the announcement of his intentions in a Facebook post, moments before going on live tv, “This is it everybody, I am about to announce that I am going to join the leadership race of the Conservative party of Canada. And you know why? I listened to you. Thank you to 40, 000 of you who went to the website and encouraged me to do it.”
O’Leary says the potential of this country is absolutely immense, it’s just very mismanaged.
He also tweeted earlier today, “The Conservative Party of Canada needs a candidate who can beat Justin Trudeau and bring back jobs to this country!”
It’s official, I’m in. The Conservative Party of Canada needs a candidate who can beat Justin Trudeau and bring back jobs to this country!

Many had speculated that O’Leary was waiting until after the French debate last night to make his announcement, because he isn’t fluent in French.
If you haven’t already, I’d be honoured if you’d visit https://t.co/tmBVkSQm7j and sign up to help me fight for Canadians! #cpcldr #cdnpoli
