Several Fair-goers got more spills than thrills when a popular midway ride failed Saturday evening at the Dryden Fall Fair
The group was enjoying the “Spider”, owned by Canuck Amusement, when the oscillating arm supporting two ‘cars’ failed and snapped off, dropping them to the ground.
Eye witnesses say the riders bolted from the car and over the fence. Other riders were left stranded until Fair employees were able to get them down
An ambulance attended the scene but it is believed there were no serious injuries.
In less than an hour, all other rides were back in full operation, except for the crippled ‘Spider.’
