A lighter workload in July for the Fort Frances Fire and Rescue Service.
Firefighters responded to a total of 29 calls.
Eighteen were emergency medical services calls, the fewest in some time.
Fire Chief Tyler Moffitt, in a report to council, says it’s due in part to a new tiered response agreement signed with the Rainy River District Social Services Administration Board.
Two of the calls in July were to deal with fires which have since been identified as suspicious.
One was inside a garbage bin at the Memorial Sports Centre.
The other was at a garage which caused nearly $2-thousand in damages.
