The Rainy River District Social Services Administrative Board is out with a campaign aimed at raise more awareness about homelessness in the district.
It’s already planning to conduct a survey in the spring.
Community Homeless Liaison Jamie Petrin says this effort aims to inform people what homelessness look like through a poster campaign.
Petrin says she’ll also be visiting with area businesses, organizations and community groups to discuss the issue with them.
The DSSAB is working in partnership with other agencies such as the United Native Friendship Centre and Salvation Army on the initiative.
