Members of the Watten Fire Department called to the scene of a fire last Wednesday night on Rainy Lake.
It broke out on Nowhere Island, located just south of Hoffman’s Landing.
Fire Chief Chad Buist says firefighters spent the night protecting cabins owners in the area.
He says a majority of the flames were knocked down early the next morning, but hot spots remains and continue to be ignited by the winds.
Ministry of Natural Resources returned to the scene the next morning to help stamp it out.
