No advisory from Environment Canada, but the National Weather Service continues to post wind chill warnings for the Borderland region.
While not as cold as yesterday, wind chills are still expected this morning to reach near minus 32 C or 29 below F.
Cold wind chills can cause frostbite to exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
After a brief warming, another round of Arctic air is expected to bring dangerously cold wind chills to our area this weekend.
There were some weather records set yesterday on both sides of the border.
Fort Frances’ early morning low reached minus 39.2 C with the old record being minus 35 C in 1996.
International Falls hit a low of 38 below F, beating the previous record of 32 below F set way back in 1924.
Kenora hit minus 32.3 C to just surpass the old record of minus 32.1 C set in 1977.
Sioux Lookout reached minus 39.7 C, beating the old mark of minus 36.1 C set in 1964.
Dryden tied the record set in 1977 of minus 34 C.
