Ontario’s construction industry is in need of workers.
A study by BuildForce Canada suggests the workforce needs to expand by more than 100-thousand over the next decade.
Executive Director Bill Ferreira says there’s new people coming into the industry, but that’s offsetting the 80-thousand planned retirements.
Ferreira says the employment demands are also being driven by an influx of large and medium scale projects across the province.
