Christmas kicked off in Fort Frances yesterday with the running of the annual Christmas parade.
Christmas at the Movies used as the theme.
Rainy River First Nation and its Polar Express was given the Buddy the Elf Award for the Most Christmas Spirit.
Fort Frances High School with its Polar Express float handed the Kevin McAllister award for Best Use of Materials.
The Clark Griswald Award for the float Most Decked Out when to Iron Range and it’s Magic School Bus.
The Holiday Cheermeister Award, also the People Choice award, went to the Northern Lights School of Skating for its take on The Grinch who Stole Christmas.
The Best Dressed when to Tim Hortons and its Nightmare Before Christmas.
