For the first time in almost eight years, the number of people employed in Minnesota is down.
The Department of Employment and Economic Development says employers shed 88-hundred jobs in February, leading to the unemployment rate to rise to 3.1 per cent.
The job loss was most significant in the construction sector which lost 35-hundred jobs.
The last time job numbers were on the negative side was back in July 2010.
