The number of public sector workers in the Rainy River District earning $100-thousand or more has grown.
The education sector sees the biggest increase with Rainy River District School Board reporting 44 employees over the threshold.
That’s more than double the number in 2017.
The Northwest Catholic District School Board’s number increased from 18 to 21.
Riverside Health Care Facilities saw its list dwindle by 5 employees to 22.
The town of Fort Frances shows six employees, an increase of one from 2017.
The township of Emo reporting for the first time an employee earning $100-thousand or more.
Provincial, the number of public sector employees earning salaries of $100-thousand or more increased by over 19-thousand employees – 14 per cent more than in 2017.
The provincial government says the average public sector worker is now earning over $16-thousand more than what a private sector employee does.
