A new strategic plan for the Fort Frances Public Library and Technology Centre.
The four-year plan sets outs a number of objectives the Library and staff hope to achieve.
Chief Executive Officer Caroline Goulding says it includes keeping up with new technological trends that their users want.
“Making sure that we are accounting for any legacy systems and upgrades that need to happen because you already have a lot of technology in place. So some of its maintenance and other parts of it is looking forward to the future and figuring out how can we survey people to see what they actually want to have and what can we put in place,” says Goulding.
Another key goal is to have the library accredited by 2020.
Goulding says they have achieved some of their operating goals already.
“We’ve already actually completed seven per cent of the plan within the first three months but there’s still a lot to go. So we are really excited to look forward to the future and finish the whole thing.”
The Library held an official launch of its strategic plan on Saturday.
