Sixty-five dentists from across the province, including from northwestern Ontario, are at Queen’s Park today.
They are trying to persuade the Ford government to make dental programs easier for children to access.
That include the Healthy Smiles Ontario program which the dentists claim over half a million kids in the province are eligible for but only about half of them participate.
They say “at least $38 million a year is wasted as Ontarians resort to preventable emergency room visits for dental issues that usually result in patients getting pain killers and antibiotics but no long-term solution to their problem.”
