High honours for one performer during the piano competitions at Rainy River District Festival of the Performing Arts.
Avery Veldhuisen scored First Class honours is a category yesterday, a first in this year’s festival.
It recognizes performers who score 90 or better.
Veldhuisen won another category with honours.
Janelle Clouston, Grace Kooistra and Presley McQuaker were also double winners, all with honours.
The competitions resume today at the Townshend Theatre this morning and Knox United Church tonight.
