Two investigators from the Transportation Safety Board have returned to Winnipeg after completing their site investigation of a fatal plane crash north of Kenora.
The TSB says the plane was en route from Minaki to Snowshoe Lake last Saturday.
The aircraft, a Piper Cub J3, was equipped with skis but crashed on the frozen ice surface of the lake as it was getting ready for landing.
The 65-year-old pilot was killed on impact.
A 26-year-old passenger suffered critical injuries.
The investigators have taken pieces of the plane back to Winnipeg for testing.
So far, no cause of the crash has been determined.
