The province wants you to know exactly how much in in federal carbon tax you are now paying.
Energy Minister Greg Rickford says legislation, if passed, will require stickers to be placed on gasoline pumps warning people of the tax.

Rickford is also asking the Ontario Energy Board for the tax to be identified in a line item on natural gas bills.
“If they refuse, we will use every tool in our toolbox to make sure that Ontario families, that Ontario businesses and Ontario farmers know exactly what this unconstitutional cash grap is going to cost them.”
The provincial governmente says that cost amounts $648 for to a typical household by 2022.
The federal carbon tax on fuels came into effect on April 1, 2019, moving prices up 4.4 cents per litre.
Further increases of 6.6 cents a litre in 2020, 8.8 cents in 2021 and 11.1 cents per litre in April 2022.
