Fort Frances town council is denying a request by the Royal Canadian Legion to paint images of soldier on a crosswalk in front of its building.
The Legion wanted to do so to draw more attention to motorists of the pedestrian crosswalk.
An administrative report expressed safety concerns of volunteers on the roadway painting the images.
The town will look at improving signage instead.
