Those with memberships to the Memorial Sports Centre will get the option of suspending their membership for a couple of months this summer.
Town council has approved the idea as a way of compensating users who won’t be able to use the pool.
It’s to undergo some maintenance this July and August.
Members will be given the option of suspending their memberships during those months and extending them the same length of time after the closure.
By suspending their membership, users will be prohibited from using their cards to access other parts of the facility.
