Winter is showing it’s not going away that easy.
A storm moving through the Borderland region has already left 10 centimetres or nearly 4 inches of snow in its wake and a bit more expected.
There’s also strong winds causing occasional blowing snow and reducing visibility for motorists.

Plows are out both in Fort Frances and on our areas highway.
Conditions are reported as being fair but they worsen if you’re traveling to east to Thunder Bay.
Snow covered and slippery roads conditions are also reported in Koochiching Couunty.
With the storm, the town of Fort Frances has declared it a significant weather event.
It’s a measure altering the public of the potential risks with the accummalation of snow and ice on the roads and sidewalks until town crews are able to take care of it.
The town also reminds the public calender parking is in effect and remains in place year round.
