The MPP for Kenora-Rainy River will be a focus of attention by the Ontario Public Service Employees union over the few days.
Union members plan to visit all of Greg Rickford’s constituency offices to voice their concern with funding changes to autism services.
OPSEU’s Ed Arvelin says they want Rickford to understand what that means.
“We want him to hear directly from the front-line service providers and directly from the families themselves to says here’s our issues, here’s the problems that’s going to exiist with the cuts to autism (services),” say Arvelin.
Arvelin says a lack of funding is already hurting families.
Families are having to dig deep in their pockets, market mortgage the houses just to get services so their child will succeed.”
The visits are expected to begin tomorrow at Rickford’s office in Fort Frances.
