The former Chief Executive Officer of Rainy Lake Medical Center has been named Citizen of the Year in International Falls
Bonnie Erickson was presented the award during the International Falls Area Chamber of Commerce awards ceremony last night.
“One does not do this alone. On behalf of all who have supported me, I accept this honour on behalf of the boards and the community-minded individuals, competent and supportive staffs and mostly our patients,” says Erickson.
Erickson was nominated for the award by 34 different individuals.
The Customer Service award was president to TruStar Federal Credit Union.
President Dale Johnson accepted the award.
“I’m accepting the award, but really the people who earned this award are our team members who serve our members every day when they come through the front door,” says Johnson.
Eleven-71 Boutique was presented with the Chamber’s Cornerstone Award.
93.1 The Border was a recipient of a Pillar award for its support of the Chamber.
Other Pillar Award winners were Packaging Corporation of America, TruStar Federal Credit Union, Bremer Bank, Coca-Cola Bottling Company, KGHS-KSDM radio stations, Border State Bank, Gearhart’s Floral and Gifts, Essentia Health and Miner’s County Market and Liquor.
