The NDP say it’s time for some relief for drivers in northern Ontario.
House Leader Gilles Bisson is pushing for gasoline prices to be regulated.
Bisson say if the Competition Bureau finds gas companies are following the law on prices then it’s time to change the law.
The Competition Bureau reported this week it found no evidence of price-fixing in a review done at the request of Energy Minister and local MPP Greg Rickford.
The NDP have legislation on the table but Bisson accuses the PCs of delaying it from reaching the committee level.
He also feels the request to have the Competition Bureau review gas prices was only a further delay tactic.
