This is Education week.
Area schools are hosting a variety of events in celebration.
Education Director for the Rainy River District School Board Heather Campbell says there’s no theme for the week.
Education week is every week but certainly we do place particular attention to the first week in May every year as we celebrate public education for all our students their parents and caregivers in our communities.
Some of the events includes a chess tournament at Crossroads Schools, visits by author Sigmund Brouwer and stage performances at Fort Frances High School and Sturgeon Creek.
