Three young hockey players from the Rainy River district are in the Yukon for the National Aboriginal Hockey championships.
Ethan Carlson-Jourdain from Couchiching First Natio, L. Sai’zha Norwegian from Lac La Croix First Nation and Aidan Tom from Big Grassy First Nation are among those suiting up for Team Ontario’s men’s squad.
They will play their first game this afternoon against Manitoba.
At Falls High School, the International Falls Broncos girls golf team finished second at an event at Hoyt Lakes.
Kenzie Wenberg and Olivia Wright tied for fourth with rounds of 47.
The Broncos boys baseball team defeated Mountain Iron-Buhl 11-1.
The junior team also won 19-4.
The girls softball team beat Ely 15-4.
