Some local support for Dog Guides Canada and its programs to train dogs to become services animals.
Over $1,400 was raised during Sunday’s Walk For Dog Guides hosted by the Voyageur Lions Club.
Nine dogs and their owners took part.
Bryson DeGagne was the top fundraiser, bringing in $890-dollars.
One-hundred per cent of the funds raised from the walk is going directly to Dog Guides Canada
Dog Guides Canada has provided its specially trained dog guides to more than 2,000 people, all without any government funding.
