Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry fire crews have being called into action lately.
A forest fire near Panorama Lake, about 54 kilometres northwest of Fort Frances, has been burning since Saturday.
CL-415 waterbombers and ground crews were required to hold its spread.
It’s still listed as active but held at 66 hectares.
Since the start of the forest fire season on April 1st, there have been 36 fires across northwestern Ontario.
Two of them have been within the Rainy River district.
