The summer season for the Rainy Lake Square is underway.
The markets are back and will happen every Thursday from now until September.
Well-known Elvis performer, Daylin James, took to the stage last night for the first free concert as part of the Rainy Lake Concert Series.
The town’s economic development consultant Tannis Drysdale says there is a full slate of events this year.
“We have folks coming back like Doug Judson Sr. to do a concert and the Andrusko brothers. We have our high school graduation photo night on June 27th before the kids go down to the arena,” says Drysdale.
Rae Spoon, Kings of None and Distant Legacy make up other performances as part of the Rainy Lake Concert Series.
Movie nights are also coming back.
“We have an online survey right now for folks to pick our first movie on (May 23). That will be a children’s movie and then (we will more movies) in June, July and August with the last one in September,”says Drysdale.
Later this month there will also be a Trivia Contest centred around the hit television show Friends.
