The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is providing support to fire ravaged Alberta.
There are 110 personnel, including a number from northwestern Ontario, stationed in the western province.
There are four wild fires that are considered out of control in Alberta, including a massive blaze threatening High Level.
The community of roughly 5,000 has been evacuated.
MNR crews flew out of Dryden and Sudbury to Alberta yesterday.
Officials say the fire situation in our province has been relatively quiet since the start of the season which allowed them to respond to a request for assistant.
They says they’re still fully prepared to respond to any new starts that may arise here at home.
There were no new forest fires reported on the weekend in northwestern Ontario.
The fire hazard remains low in much of the region.
