A number of podium finishes for local riders racing a two-day Superior Dirt Riders event at Emo Motorcross.
Landon Flinders of Fort Frances won the 85 cc 7 to 11 class both yesterday and Saturday.
He was also third in the super mini class on Sunday.
Trevor Creswell of Emo was first in the veteran’s over 40 division Sunday and third on Saturday
Cole Kreger, also of Emo, first in the Schoolboy division yesterday and second on Saturday.
He also won the MX3 Open class on Saturday.
Dylan Tessier of Devlin topped the MX3 beginner class both yesterday and Saturday.
Joel Brigham of Atikokan had a third place finish in the super mini class Sunday and a second on Saturday
Dawson Pollard of Fort Frances was third in the 85 cc 12 to 16 division on Sunday.
Blake Kreger of Emo was second in the 85 cc 12 to 16 class on Saturday
And Alex Kreger of Emo was third in the 85 cc 7 to 11 division also Saturday.
At Emo Speedway Saturday, Brody Strachan made it back to wins in the modified division, scoring his third win of the season.
Christopher Leek, who now lives in Manitoba, won the mid-west modified feature.
And Dean Kellar won his second feature of the year in the street stock division.
Elsewhere on the tracks, Tanner Williamson was sixth in the mid-west modified feature at Gondik Law Speedway in Superior, Wisconsin.
Wyatt Boyum of International Fall was 12th in the same race.
Saturday, Williamson placed 19th in the feature at Deer Creek Raceway.
Jamie Davis was fourth.
Steve Arpin was also racing at Deer Creek, winning a heat race and finishing sixth in the modified feature.
It was Fort Frances native’s first ride in a modified race car in several years.
At Hibbing Raceway on Saturday, Jeff Davis was 8th in the modified feature.
Matt Depiero failed to finish and was placed 11th.
Wyatt Boyum was 4th in the mid-west modified feature.
Fort Frances Muskies will have another team to compete against this fall.
Sioux North Warriors are joining the regional high school athletics AA division.
The Warriors were previously in the A division.
Kenora’s Beaver Brae Broncos and Dryden Eagles are the other double-A schools in NorWOSSA.
