The planning for Canada Day in Fort Frances continues.
One of the new events will be a colour run.
Fun in the Sun Committee member Cynthia Donald says participants will run a designated course along the waterfront past several stations.
“Two people at each station will have some colored cornstarch so it dye the t-shirt for a while. By the time they come back, they hopefully will have a very colorful t-shirt,” says Donald.
Donald hopes the participants will later take part in the parade to show off their wear.
“We’re going to have the sponsors of the run in the parade. I’m hoping some of the people that went in the color run will either walk behind holding a flag or holding a sponsor name to make it a little bit more festive.”
The event is only a fun run but there is a charge to take part.
