Evacuees from Pikangikum First Nation have started arriving in Saskatchewan.
As many as 2,000 people are being brought to Regina, Saskatoon and Prince Albert.
Flights out of the remote community resumed yesterday after being grounded by smoke.
More flights are scheduled today.
Meantime, almost a thousand evacuees are in Thunder Bay.
The city had to turn away two hundred people because its resources were stretching too thin.
City Manager Norm Gale says they’re happy Saskatchewan is now helping.
Peel Region and the City of London have also agreed to accept evacuees.
