The Music Project is paying off for the Alzheimer Society of Kenora-Rainy River.
The program provides Alzheimer patients with an iPod loaded with their favourite music.
The project is seen as helping to improve one’s memory through music.
The Society’s Rylee Rieu says it’s growing every year.
“Some music is proven to be one of the last memories to leave somebody living with dementia and we’re actually looking for donations of gently used iPods for our clients,” says Rieu.
A drop box for used Ipods can be found at Sight and Sound in Fort Frances.
