The mayor of Thunder Bay is making it official.
Bill Mauro says he has no plans to seek the Liberal nomination in the federal riding of Thunder Bay-Rainy River.
Current MP Don Rusnak not seeking re-election.
There had been some speculation Mauro, who was a cabinet minister under Premier Kathleen Wynne, would seek the seat.
The Liberals do have four other candidates looking to take over.
No nomination meeting has yet been announced.
