A two-time champion to mark the 25th anniversary of the Fort Frances Canadian Bass Championship.
Mark Raveling and Mike Luhman reeled in almost 54 pounds of bass to capture this year’s crown.
Luhman called it an honour to win.
“It is an honor to finish the 25 anniversary and then to win it, it’s believable,” says Luhman.
“It’s honor to win,” adds Raveling,” and it being the 25 anniversary. I believe this is our 22nd time fishing it.”
The Minnesota anglers also won the championship in 2012 and finished runners-up four other times.
First day leaders, Lauren Ras and Chuck Olson, both from Bemidji, finished second with 52.37 lbs of bass.
Last year’s winners, Bryan Gustafson and Brian McNanney were 10th.
