A meeting will be held this Thursday to discuss the upcoming Dudley Hewitt Cup.
It will take place at the Super 8 Motel beginning at 6 p.m.
Part of the meeting will be the selection of a committee overseeing next April’s event in Fort Frances.
A busy weekend for local stock car drivers racing stateside.
Gavin Paul was 3rd in the modified feature at Grand Rapids Speedway on Friday and 7th at Hibbing on Sunday. He was 15th in Saturday’s feature at Hibbing.
Jeff Davis was 10th in Hibbing’s Sunday race after failing to qualify for Saturday feature. He finished 9th in a B-feature.
Matt Depiero was 7th in that same b-feature while finishing 14th in Sunday’s main event.
Cameron Brown of Rainy River was 10th in a b-feature on Saturday and 9th in Sunday’s B-main.
In the midwest modified division in Hibbing, Jamie Davis was 10th in Sunday’s feature in Hibbing after a 4th place finish Saturday.
Wyatt Boyum was 9th in Sunday’s race after a 5th place finish Saturday b-feature.
Tanner Williamson was 12th in Saturday’s feature and 15ht Sunday.
Cody Ossachuk was 7th in Saturday’s b-main.
At Greenbush, Brody Strachan was 3rd in the Sunday’s modified feature and 9th on Saturday.
Brandon Pelepetz was 5th in Saturday’s race but finished 16th Sunday.
Tyler Brown of Rainy River was 13th on Saturday and 15th Sunday.
Brian Nelson of International Falls failed to finish Saturday and was scored 17th. He placed 10th the next day.
Raice Westover also failed to complete Saturday’s race. He was 20th. He was 21st Sunday.
In the midwest modified class, Mike Wilson was 12th in Saturday’s feature while 13th on Sunday.
James Lambert rolled in Saturday’s feature and place 19th, returning the next day for a 10th place showing.
In the street stocks, Jake Froemke of International Falls won Sunday’s feature after turning in a 5th place finish on Saturday
Other results from Grand Rapids Speedway on Friday included Williamsson finished 16th in the midwest modified feature. Boyum was 24th.
At Viking Speedway in Alexandria, Minnesota, Brady Caul was 14th in Saturday’s feature and 11th on Sunday.
Joey Krause of International Falls, racing at Rice Lake, was 20th in the midwest modified feature held on Saturday
